The mercy of God could not come to us until Jesus paid the price. The mercy of God bends toward us. Grace, God’s ability, is not to take the place of mercy. Mercy is for our mess ups. Grace is for our cycle of obedience. Grace is the ability that couples itself with our ability to walk in line with truth. Mercy extends itself for our lack of obedience towards truth. If truth is not equated with grace, we must step back until mercy comes. Then the mercy of God will cause us to know truth and help us to develop grace through obedience.
